“I ventured into the Norwegian wilderness with my son, endured hardship, learned survival techniques, and enjoyed the landscape and its tranquility, all under Jay’s excellent guidance. An experience we will remember for a long time.”

When you need space to step away from noise, expectations, and routine.
Going back to basics brings clarity. By focusing on what truly matters, you reconnect with yourself and discover how capable you really are.
This journey is demanding, grounding, and deeply personal.
When you want to share a meaningful experience with someone close, or (re)connect on a deeper level.
In the wilderness, conversations change. Silence becomes connection. What you experience together becomes a shared story that lasts.
Time in nature creates the right balance between space and togetherness.
Away from daily distractions, families naturally (re)connect through shared challenges, quiet moments, and simple routines.
These are memories that stay long after the journey ends.
7 day trip, including 2 travel days: longer trips are available. Flight not included
Family price depends on the number of participants.
We live surrounded by people, noise, and constant input. Even in groups, true silence is rare.
A solo journey is different. It slows everything down.
Out there, you rely on yourself. You learn by doing, adapting, and facing challenges as they come. There’s space to think, or not think at all.
That’s what makes it meaningful: a deeper awareness of yourself and a stronger connection with the wilderness.
An adventure is like a good suit; it fits best when it’s tailored.
That’s why no two trips are the same. This is how we shape yours:
You get in touch. We explore whether this journey is right for you.
Together we’ll shape your wilderness experience. Your goals, pace, and sense of adventure.
We get to know each other and discuss essentials. Online, if you prefer.

"What an amazing experience! I learned so much from Jay about survival skills in pristine terrain. Thanks for your enthusiasm, your passion, and your humor.”

After a full day of hiking through forests, crossing streams, climbing hills, navigating bogs, and making the occasional navigational mistake, you reach the spot you choose for camp.
It’s not perfect, but it works.
Tired and grounded, you build your shelter, gather birch bark and firewood, and light a fire. One strike, it crackles to life.
Berries you collected and a trout you caught make up dinner. It tastes better than expected.
You boil fresh stream water for coffee and sit back, feeling the quiet satisfaction of a day well lived.
"Jay is a calm, capable instructor with a great sense of what people can handle. The fun factor is always there, and you learn skills you can truly use on your own."
Hey, I’m Jay.
As a certified survival instructor and wilderness guide, I’ve spent years teaching essential outdoor skills, including fire and shelter, navigation, and cooking in the wild.
Mastery comes from trying, failing, and trying again. I teach in a calm, light-hearted way, turning challenges into opportunities to learn.
My experience in the outdoors has made me a better guide and a better listener. I know when to push a boundary and when to slow things down.

I love seeing people step into the unknown.
Supporting that growth, in skill, confidence, and self-trust, is deeply rewarding. The best moments are when someone realises they are far more capable than they thought.
That realisation often stays with them long after they return home. That’s why I guide.
Before heading into the wild, we take time to connect.
You can ask anything.
We talk about your wishes, limits, and curiosity.
Together, we decide where and when to go.
That choice sets the rhythm of the journey, season, route, and equipment.
I’ll guide you through what to bring and what I provide, so you’re well prepared from the start.
* I guide in spring, summer, and autumn.
An overview of required gear and what I can provide, so you arrive prepared, not overloaded.
Risk and uncertainty are part of real adventure.
But preparation comes first. Every trip is carefully planned, including routes, conditions, equipment, and contingency measures.
We minimise risk wherever possible, so you can focus fully on the experience.
